Tesco Frozen Healthy Living Thai Green Chicken Curry Review

Tesco Frozen Healthy Living Thai Green Chicken Curry Review

With a price at just £1.50 I was tempted to try this frozen meal, primarily because it was a branded Healthy Living product, and the fact I had not tried the froxen range of pre prepared Tesco frozen meals before.

I participate in the Tesco Orchard scheme so with the £3 money off vouchers I was sent I ended up trying 2 of these meals for free.

The packing was clear and displayed the calorific content at just over 300 - I was intrigued how it would taste as a microwavable meal.

The first thing I discovered was that the packaging was perforated, allowing steam to be the method of cooking. Nice.

So, after 7 minutes in the mocrowave and 60 seconds loitering around to 'let stand' I finally got to peel back the film and got to inhale the delicious aroma of thai curry and cooked chicken.

I ate this with nothing else, the meal volume was perfect for me, I would have been too full by eating it with something else. I especially liked the crunchy green beans and the creamy sauce.

Marks out of 10? Personally I am a big fan of chillis and this was not spicy at all to my palette, so I'm giving it a lemongrass inspired rating of 9 out of 10. Next time I'll add some freshly chopped chillies whilst it's standing for 60 seconds!

Remediation Systems and Steam Injection Remediation by Cornelsen UK

Remediation Systems, Groundwater treatment and Landfill Leachate Treatment Services

Cornelsen delivers innovative, robust, reliable and safe systems for in-situ remediation, groundwater treatment & leachate leachate.

Operating internationally from the UK and Germany and widely recognised for excellence in remediation system design, process safety and compliance, we guarantee our competence to operate, maintain and above all optimise our systems day in day out to meet project performance and up-time specifications.

Steam Injection Remediation

Contaminated Groundwater or Soil Treatments include Steam Injection which mobilises viscous contaminants at temperatures of under 100 degress. Harmful contaminents such as such as heavy oils in soil and groundwater are then able to be recovered in a more efficient fashion when compared to other technologies. The inclusion of temperature monitoring points distributed vertically and laterally throughout the formation along with an in-line GC-FID and remote telemetry enables us to provide daily advice and recommendations as required.

Steam Injection Remediation Case Studies

Resolve land contamination issues with Steam Injection treatments and systems from Cornelsen. By the injection of a steam / air mixture the substrate is heated mainly by convection, this injection of steam is continually monitored as it permeates into the saturated zone, whilst at the same time working to induce the mobilisation of contaminants leading to the volatilisation of the compounds within the aquifer.

Car Bluetooth Hands Free Kits

In Car Bluetooth Kits Features and Benefits

You may be forgiven for not knowing that Scandinavia’s biggest export is not, in fact, Thor – but the Bluetooth firmware built into your phones, laptops and other techy equipment. Created by the phone company Ericsson in 1994 (you may remember that one successful phone they made after being bought out by Sony – the Sony Ericsson Walkman), Bluetooth is now the most popular short range wireless communication protocol in the world.

Now, most people would bang on about saving your life or preventing a fine, but for me the biggest reason to get a Bluetooth car kit is laziness. They’re just so incredibly convenient. Every day I get in my car, with my phone, and my music comes on. What? Didn’t know that a handsfree system can also stream music via Bluetooth?

The only thing you should be asking your self is not “Should I get a Bluetooth system?” but rather “Which in-car Bluetooth system will suit me best?”

Let’s take a look at some of the options on sale at the Car Audio Centre website and stores:

Parrot Bluetooth Music In Car

Fairly invasive and requiring a separate screen to be mounted somewhere, but Parrot is also the market leading Bluetooth firmware. These can be tricky to install as they require integrating into your car stereo’s wiring harness which can be done with a Connects2 t-harness and allows your Bluetooth audio to play through your car speakers.

While the CK3100 starts from around £85, only the MKI and Asteroid series offer the music streaming feature and cost upwards of £100.

Bluetooth Car Stereo

Usually requires a few more parts to fit into your vehicle, as does any car stereo, but much cleaner looking than a parrot kit once installed , all of the Bluetooth car stereos that we offer now include the A2DP Bluetooth music streaming profile alongside the handsfree calling.

Many of the manufacturers use the Parrot Bluetooth software as well, such as Pioneer and Kenwood, although Sony and JVC prefer to use their own versions.

FM Transmitters - Plug and Play

A lot easier to install, you just plug in the FM Transmitter and set them to the same frequency as your car stereo. This does, however, mean you can’t have the radio on. All is not lost, though. While these don’t usually do Bluetooth music streaming, they do come with USB and aux connections so you can still send music through your car stereo. They are also significantly cheaper than the other options, with the In Phase BT Go clocking in at around £20

BT Mate Bluetooth Hands Free

A whole section to itself because it’s the only one like it, the BT Mate Bluetooth handsfree and music streaming device that connects to your stereo via an aux cable. Even if the music streaming doesn’t interest you, you can still use the radio! Most modern stereos have an auto-sensing aux port, meaning that once the BT Mate receives a call it will send a signal down the aux cable and your stereo will automatically switch over for your phone call.

Now you’re fully informed you can choose your device and motive. It might sound better if you tell your friends your reasoning was safety, not convenience.

The benefits of airport transfers

If you are thinking about going on holiday, then you’ll need to consider a number of things even before you are on the plane. One of the most important is how you are going to get from your home to the airport. At Cornishcars.co.uk, we have a number of different options if you are looking for airport transfers in Cornwall. Here, we will explore more about some of the best benefits of airport transfers.

Why can’t I drive to the airport?

Driving to the airport and parking, is not really a viable option if you are travelling for more than a couple of days, hence why airport transfers in Cornwall are very popular. Driving to any of the main London airports (London Heathrow Airport, London Gatwick Airport, Stansted Airport and Luton Airport), to Newquay airport, Bristol airport and Exeter airport can take a long time so you spend a considerable amount on petrol. Furthermore, driving to the airport is often draining, and as you may have a sizeable journey ahead of you, driving may be the last thing you want to do before you get on a plane.

Of course, you’ve also got to consider if your car is ‘airport friendly.’ How many suitcases are you taking with you? How much space do you have? Sometimes you actually cannot fit everything into your car so airport transfers in Cornwall might be your only option.
The last point, and one of the main points you need to consider is the price that it costs to park at the airport. Parking at Heathrow can cost more than £20 a night, which soon mounts up, even if you are on a short trip. Sure, you might be able to get discounts for longer trips, but you’ll still be paying roughly £15 a night, which is very expensive when you take into account it is just parking.

So, to sum up, airport transfers in Cornwall are popular because they are often cost-effective, relaxing, luxurious, and it is one less thing you have to worry about! Just sit back, book with Cornish Cars and relax, knowing that everything is being taken care of for you.

Review on Pregnancy August 2015

So, pregnancy.

The one universal subject that gets everyone gooey eyed, talking in baby talk and reminiscing about their own wonderful experiences. "Oh Ioved that bit", or "I simply adored being pregnant". Well the simple fact for me and I suspect a good few more women out there, is that pregnancy sucks.

Pregnancy Sucks

And I'm not talking about health complications or biology, I'm talking about, not enjoying being pregnant. Now before the pregnancy police come and out, arrest me and mark my door with a big black cross, let me just have my say because I think more women simply don't enjoy pregnancy that we are led to believe and these women are scared of speaking out because of the fear of being shouted down and stoned to death by yummy mummy brigade.

Preparing for a baby

So, here's how it is; preparing for a baby is a big deal, hell deciding to have a baby is a big deal and often the decision to expand the family isn't taken lightly. I consider myself to be the kind of person that thinks things through properly and wanting a family is something my husband and I have talked lots about. And that's it, we've talked about having a family, the joy that family brings, how close we are to both our families and that it's something fundamentally important to both of us.

However that doesn't automatically mean that directly impacts how I feel about pregnancy. In fact I hate being pregnant. It slows me down, I feel isolated, lonely, constantly tearful. I want my body back, it doesn't work as efficiently as it did before. And on that matter, neither does my brain. As a business owner, I'm used to making big decisions, fast decisions...now my head is full of extra things so much so that I struggle to decide what to have for breakfast. This frustrates me and then in a blink of an eye, the tears come again.

Looking forward to a new kind of love despite everything

I know I already love my child and he's going to change my life beyond my wildest dreams but don't make me feel bad for not enjoying his constant kicking at 3am in the morning, or the sickness that I get when he moves from one side of my body to the other. It's not pleasant and makes me want him to arrive even sooner. But don't cast judgement on me as if I'm already a bad mother because I don't gush about his nocturnal habits.

Tesco Finest Comte Cheese Review - August 2015

Tesco Finest Comte Cheese Review

We all know good cheese and a fine wine are a match made in heaven, so with my recent free Tesco Orchard £3 voucher I teamed my Comte cheese with a Tesco Finest red wine!

I resisted the temptation to open the wine first and opted to go straight in for the cheese triangle nibble - I feel as though I prefer to eat the cheese on it's own when trying a new brand, so it's pure and undiluted cheesy taste in my mouth.

And here's the end results. Plain and simple, and deliciously tasty!

The cheese was firm but not as hard as Parmesan, yet retained a smooth and creamy finish.

I served grated cheese on wholemeal creackers that were buttered, topped off with a teaspoon of pesto under half a cherry tomato and garnished with fresh Tesco watercress.

I highly recommend joining Tesco's Orchard programme so you too can experience new taste experiences and read other people's recipies too!

Tesco Fresh Steaks Review - The Orchard #TriedItForLess

Tesco Fresh Steaks Review

I just have to shout about Tesco steaks! The Tesco Orchard Programme was all about the quality of the fresh steaks and here's my recipe of my romantic night in with a steak dinner.

Marinade and Griddle

I let the steak marinade in a seasoned rub for 3 hours and took it out of the fridge for 10 minutes before cooking. After this I brushed with oil and slapped them into a very hot griddle pan. The smell was amazing!

As the cuts were a bit triangular I fried the meat for 4 minutes on each of the 3 sides, for a medium rare steak - they were very thick pieces.

Team With Mashed Potato and Vegetables

Using Tesco's buttery ready made mash I cheated, but I did boil mixed vegetables whilst all this was going on.

For my sauce I added concentrated pepper mix from Knorr, fried off some mushrooms and added milk, cornflour and a little double cream.

When the steak was cooked, I removed it from the pan and served with hot mash, mixed veg and my pepper mushroom sauce over the top.

Saucy!

Oh my, this was delicious. My hubby complimented me no end, the meat was juicy, oh so tender and above all I had £4 off with the Tesco Orchard programme #TriedItForLess

Steak and Mushroom Pasta - Tesco Finest Fusilli Lunghi Col Buco #tryitfree

Tesco Finest Fusilli Lunghi Col Buco

All too often I have rushed my pasta choice, always choosing the same fusilli twists - well this time I decided to experiement with Tesco Finest Fusilli Lunghi Col Buco 100% Italian durum wheat dried pasta.

Be confident in change

Why am I a bit frightened when trying something new? I should not have been worried, I needed my largest saucepan as the length was very generous, and suprisingly the pasta was hollow which added to the pleasure of eating!

Steak is super with marvellous mushrooms

I prepared some strips of rump steak marinaded overnight in Peri Peri dry mix with a little olive oil - then fried with fresh chopped mushrooms as the pasta was boiling.

Opened a jar of mushroom pasta and boom! Mushroom and steak pasta.

Try it

Go on, try it, be daring be different, I did #tryitfree and I'll be back for more. The photo below looks out of fosuc but really it's steaming hot traight out of the pan and didn't last long at all!
